My Yoga Journey Started in 2012 when I took my first yoga class at a music festival. from then on I practiced yoga occasionally. In 2018 I started having severe panic attacks that forever changed my life, I read online that yoga can be helpful to those with anxiety, depression and panic disorder. this is when I got serious about my personal practice. and for the first time I saw yoga as more than just postures. I gained first hand insight on how yoga can transform your life from the inside out. my practice started in the subtle body, focusing on breath work, meditation & mindfulness. The physical practice of yoga (asana) was just the way for me to release all the tension in my body so I could get into a meditative state. in 2021 i discovered restorative yoga and fell in love ad that when I knew I wanted to be a teacher. Later that year I joined my 200 hr YTT and started teaching yoga at my wedding venue in Sanger. from there I started dreaming of opening a yoga studio in Sanger, the town where I was born and raised. in may of 2023 I opened Free Mind Yoga, Sangers first ever yoga studio & the rest is history! Here at the studio you'll find me teaching intro to yoga classes, Vinyasa, Meditation & breath work, as well as restorative! it's really important to me as a plus size human that our classes are accessible and inclusive, showing how strong, beautiful and capable our bodies are!
