Service Description

Yin Yoga is sometimes referred to as “yoga for the joints, not the muscles.” It is a gentle, nurturing, and relaxing all-level class. Primarily we are on the floor in deep long-held supported postures (anywhere from 1-7 minutes) to target the connective tissues (e.g., tendons, ligaments, and fascia). As we hold, we seek to stretch, stimulate, and create fluidity in the deep connective tissues. It is a profoundly healing and meditative practice deriving from Chinese and Indian philosophies. Some of the benefits include but are not limited to: - Increase flexibility and range of motion - Reduce stress and anxiety - Mindfulness - A deeper connection to the body and mind
